Less of a discussion question and more of an information-gathering poll today, folks:
Where do you find R/S fic, art, meta, podfic, etc.? What sites on LJ? On DW? Do you read at archives (and which ones)? Have R/S made it to tumblr yet? Do you post or archive your own work anywhere special?
Your mods are curious in part because we keep hearing how fandom is migrating, and we'd love to post links to this year's gifts where folks will find them. Help us out?

Date: 2012-11-27 06:10 pm (UTC)All my work is archived here on LJ and my website (which links to LJ), but I do have a ginormous rec list that gets updated rather frequently. Not just R/S, though, three other fandoms I follow (Steve Rogers/Tony Stark, Castiel/Dean Winchester, and Natasha Romanoff/Pepper Potts), and one I used to (Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter).

Date: 2012-11-27 06:46 pm (UTC)Also, I love the fact that you have a recs list! (I'm going to go have a look at it.) I'd started off reading off of recs lists and somehow had the idea that folks weren't keeping them as often as they used to, but perhaps that's not true. M.

Also, I used to watch
And thanks! I just finished a bit of editing, which I always seem to be doing... tweaking something or another :-/ I don't think I'll ever stop updating my recs, there's so much out there and I've got quite the pairings to read, so I'm pretty sure I won't be stopping any time soon.

Date: 2012-11-28 05:04 pm (UTC)If you want to x-post this stuff on tumblr, I would suggest making a separate blog for it (rs-small-gifts.tumblr.com or something) and tagging every post with Wolfstar, at least. Then they would all be in one spot, and they would all show up in the tag where people go to look for stuff. (I have no idea if you're on tumblr already or know what I'm talking about ^_^;;)

Date: 2012-11-27 09:26 pm (UTC)The individual character tags (also James, Peter, Lily, and Regulus) are kind of cluttered with chatter and role-play stuff, but the wolfstar tag (http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/wolfstar) is pretty solid.
everythings-wolfstar (http://everythings-wolfstar.tumblr.com/) and ofwerewolvesandmen (http://ofwerewolvesandmen.tumblr.com/) are both awesome blogs. They reblog tons of fanart and do fic recs and headcanon discussions.

Date: 2012-11-30 12:04 am (UTC)I spend a lot of time on Tumblr because my other two fandoms (Game of Thrones and Teen Wolf) are super active over there, and the lack of MWPP stuff is frustrating. HP is still fairly popular over there on the whole, but mostly for Trio-era stuff. I'm really glad Wolfstar has its own tag, because the amount of RP stuff in the character tags is overwhelming.

Date: 2012-11-28 01:36 am (UTC)When I first joined the fandom, I was watching Immeritus: The Sirius Black Fan Club (http://immeritus.org/index.php) and found quite a few things there, though I've pretty much stuck to LJ for the last couple of years. I came across

Date: 2012-11-28 02:18 am (UTC)In terms of LJ comms,
The wolfstar tag on Tumblr is where I see a lot of the everyday R/S-related discussion these days. Not so much in the way of creation aside from roleplays, though it does get a lovely lot of art and fic recs, plus the occasional cosplay shoot. The Shoebox Project re-read happens there (this is the best link I could find). Also, the Wolfstar Winter Wank challenge/fest will be running on tumblr from 30th Dec to 5th Jan - two teams, a week of prompts, points for I believe the number of fanworks created - I'm overjoyed because they're allowing any kind of fanwork, not just fic and art.
And speaking of other fanworks, the best place to find R/S podfic is the Audio Archive's Remus/Sirius filter.
Reminds me, I need to go scouring Pinboard to see if any R/S reclists have been set up there... ;D

Date: 2012-11-28 06:38 pm (UTC)oh and to answer some of the questions in the post:
- i do archive my fic both here and on AO3. when i want to find new fic to read, i rely mostly on reclists and i have a tendency to look at accio_rs_fics to see what people are reccing/looking for, and sometimes i look at the wolfstar tag on tumblr.
speaking of reclists, mine needs updating. i made it to 'too late', as in, i'd lost all the links to most of the good stuff i'd been reading, and i've not managed to re-find everything yet. and it gets only slowly updated these days, too, as i've not done a lot of R/S reading this year...
