Less of a discussion question and more of an information-gathering poll today, folks:

Where do you find R/S fic, art, meta, podfic, etc.? What sites on LJ? On DW? Do you read at archives (and which ones)? Have R/S made it to tumblr yet? Do you post or archive your own work anywhere special?

Your mods are curious in part because we keep hearing how fandom is migrating, and we'd love to post links to this year's gifts where folks will find them. Help us out?

I normally find most of the fic here on LJ, sometimes on DW, and almost never on AO3 (because I'm always searching for something else, heh). I have noticed that, every once in a while, R/S will be on my dash on Tumblr, but not nearly as often as it should.

All my work is archived here on LJ and my website (which links to LJ), but I do have a ginormous rec list that gets updated rather frequently. Not just R/S, though, three other fandoms I follow (Steve Rogers/Tony Stark, Castiel/Dean Winchester, and Natasha Romanoff/Pepper Potts), and one I used to (Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter).

R/S have indeed made it to tumblr! In a small way, if you follow the right people. And/or track the Wolfstar tag. Also last year in December they started a Shoebox Reread Project where everyone reads one chapter a day until, well I guess, the 23. I didn't participate, but hopefully I will this year?

I watch [livejournal.com profile] accio_rs_fics here, and the [livejournal.com profile] rs_games. Many of my old favorites are/were at FictionAlley, though that site is quite slow anymore. When I actively seek out new fic, I usually hit ff.net and hope there's some decent new things, and I'm moving slowly toward AO3, having been introduced to it recently.

Remus/Sirius happens on Tumblr, just not as often as I'd like!

The individual character tags (also James, Peter, Lily, and Regulus) are kind of cluttered with chatter and role-play stuff, but the wolfstar tag (http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/wolfstar) is pretty solid.

everythings-wolfstar (http://everythings-wolfstar.tumblr.com/) and ofwerewolvesandmen (http://ofwerewolvesandmen.tumblr.com/) are both awesome blogs. They reblog tons of fanart and do fic recs and headcanon discussions.

Like others have mentioned, I mainly stalk [livejournal.com profile] remusxsirius and [livejournal.com profile] accio_rs_fics and keep an eye on the big R/S fests like this one and [livejournal.com profile] rs_games. That has often led me to seek out additional work by authors or artists, and to "meet" some cool people too.

When I first joined the fandom, I was watching Immeritus: The Sirius Black Fan Club (http://immeritus.org/index.php) and found quite a few things there, though I've pretty much stuck to LJ for the last couple of years. I came across [livejournal.com profile] imochan's Love Post (http://imochan.livejournal.com/297961.html) a couple of summers ago and spent days on end reading and converting my favorites to read on my Kindle (including a couple of great short pieces by [livejournal.com profile] mindabbles if I remember correctly). I've found that overall quality of stories in LJ, at least in my experience, has been higher than on places like fanfiction.net.

Honestly at this point - posts like this. I rely primarily on recs from friends as I do very little internet trawling for fic nowadays. I'm not reading a ton of new R/S, so will refer back to the LJ archives of my favorite authors when I have a hankering. And I know I can always count on this fest for some great stories. :)

Sometimes I do miss the days of fics being posted to the SBRL yahoo list!

The Remus/Sirius tag feed at AO3 is wonderful. I won't go near ff.net on principle, so that is the main place I go browsing randomly for fics. Tag filtering has just been restored, which makes browsing individual author profiles a LOT easier.

In terms of LJ comms, [livejournal.com profile] remusxsirius and [livejournal.com profile] accio_rs_fics are the mainstays, and I tend to friend every author or fic journal I find whose work I like. I have most of the fest comms friended as well, both active and non. Sentimental favourites are the old seasonal fic-a-day comms: [livejournal.com profile] dogdaysofsummer, [livejournal.com profile] scarvesnhats, [livejournal.com profile] blanketforts, and [livejournal.com profile] wellymuck. Old rec lists are wonderful for finding gems that have been forgotten, even if half the links don't work anymore and most haven't been updated for several years - [livejournal.com profile] spacefragments' epic R/S AU rec list was invaluable when I was first delving into R/S fic, not only for the recs but also for finding good authors and their masterlists.

The wolfstar tag on Tumblr is where I see a lot of the everyday R/S-related discussion these days. Not so much in the way of creation aside from roleplays, though it does get a lovely lot of art and fic recs, plus the occasional cosplay shoot. The Shoebox Project re-read happens there (this is the best link I could find). Also, the Wolfstar Winter Wank challenge/fest will be running on tumblr from 30th Dec to 5th Jan - two teams, a week of prompts, points for I believe the number of fanworks created - I'm overjoyed because they're allowing any kind of fanwork, not just fic and art.

And speaking of other fanworks, the best place to find R/S podfic is the Audio Archive's Remus/Sirius filter. [livejournal.com profile] amplificathon is where all the podficcers post, and they have an HP fandom tag (also on DW here). My favourite cosplay troupe, Parle Productions, have put together some hilarious Marauders vids in the past (all gen), their Marauders playlist is here. The two R/S cosplayers I see most active on Tumblr have their Youtube feed here.

Reminds me, I need to go scouring Pinboard to see if any R/S reclists have been set up there... ;D

I'm late to this party! Tumblr is really where it's at right now, and of course AO3. Seems like everyone's got the big names covered there.

For the smuttier things, here's also the new and currently running[livejournal.com profile] rlupin_kinkmeme [they really need some fills!], as well as [livejournal.com profile] rs_kink, a new R/S kink comm opening up in January.
