[identity profile] smallgiftsmods.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] small_gifts
Hello smallgifters,

Small gifts due NOVEMBER 30th! By midnight in your time zone is fine. Midnight is that time right after 11:59 on November 30th and just before 12:01 on December 1st. Honestly, we don't care if you post at 11:59 on the 30th or at 12:01 on the 1st, as long as you know that it doesn't mean 11:59 on the 1st.

So, on or before November 30, you should submit your gift to the comm by posting directly to [livejournal.com profile] rs_small_gifts, just as you'd post to any community. We're on "moderated" status, though, which means that instead of appearing immediately, your gift will go into a moderation queue. We'll approve/make public a couple gifts every day, all month.

Once your fic or art goes into the moderation queue, it can't be altered or edited until we "approve" it by posting it, so make sure you're done before submitting--or, if you need to tinker, send an e-mail to one of your mods who can reject the post so you can change what you need to change. If your gift appears to have formatting problems, one of the moderators will "reject" it so that you can fix it.

When you format your art or fic, please:
1) Place gift type (fic or art), title, and recipient in the subject line:
Example: "Fic: Five Times Remus and Sirius Almost Forgot Peter's Birthday for lily_evans"
2) Place your fic or art under an lj-cut. Here's how to do that, if you have any questions.
3) Use the following header to provide information about your gift (if you don't have any warnings, simply type "none" where you see "insert warnings here"):

Every day between December 1 and January 1, your mods will post a few gifts from the moderation queue. As soon as your gift has appeared on [livejournal.com profile] rs_small_gifts, you're free to crosspost to your own journal or wherever you'd like.

INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING FURTHER?

Want to create a second gift? Want to participate but didn't sign up in October? Look for chances to do second gifts and participate in an open round after first gifts are all up. AND, I am sorry to say that we will probably need some pinch hitters, so let us know if you're interested in that.

Finally -- yes, I think that's it for now -- for more R/S fun in the coming year, check out our affiliates: Remix Remus and Sirius at [livejournal.com profile] rs_remix and watch them go epic at [livejournal.com profile] rsbigbang!

Um... My internet explorer closed out while I was posting my story. Could you tell me if you all got it, because I don't want to spam you with it a second time if you didn't. Thanks!

Hi, K, I don't think we did (you're posting it to the queue?) Want to try again? M.

Okay, success getting it in the queue this time! Could I ask you to resubmit once more, though, and close the bold tags, so the whole header isn't bold? I'll reject it now, and you can fix the formatting and resubmit. Thanks so much! M.

Random question: Does the fic summary have to be the prompt? Or do we write our own summary? :)

Hi there,

You can write your own summary -- of course, if the prompt works and you like it, you can use it, but there is no rule that you have to. Not such a random question. :)

ARGH! Mods! I just realized that I completely forgot to put my post under an lj-cut. Could you please reject it so that I can fix that? :(
