Oh WOW, just awesome! The moon, the clouds, and the two boys on a motorbike ♥ I adore the expression of joy on Remus's face, it's such a precious smile on him. And I love how Sirius looks like a large part of his happiness arises from the fact that Remus is enjoying this so much.

And the stars glittering around them just makes this a much more magical piece of work ♥

Oh, that is just lovely! And their faces are perfect! The happiness and Remus' almost meditative expression are just perfect. I also have to give you MAJOR kudos for drawing a historically correct bike. My house mate has a 1972 Honda and constantly lectures me about the differences.

And your comments reminded me of a line from one of my favorite movies, Waking Life:

The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure while always arriving.

Thank you for the delightful comment! I'm glad you appreciated the vehicular accuracy - though I've been in Remus's position in the past, I was lost when it came to drawing a bike from memory. I definitely required some research. :)

Wheee! This is so awesome! I love how you took the sense of adventure and freedmon and excitement from the prompt and turned it into this beautiful art. And the faces! The spirit of this is seriously infectious (which is a good thing, hehe).

Hurray! I'm so glad you like it! As is probably evident, I started with this (http://www.denbompa.be/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/motorcycle_diaries.jpg) image from the film (which I love). Luckily, the HP-verse allows one to make that gesture of flight quite real. It was a fun scene to imagine.

Also, not to be one of those obnoxious people who blames the flaws of their fanart on the quality of the scan, but I feel compelled to say that this really didn't scan well. It's far less grainy in real life. But I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway. :)

ahhhhHHHHHH. SO WONDERFUL! And the pencil (charcoal? what? can you tell I'm not an artist?) just seems to me like the perfect medium for their age/elation/the scene/ngyyahhh... words fail me as well... it's the thought that counts, I suppose - well done!

Hee. Thank you! The medium is utterly prosaic mechanical pencil - because I'm a cheapskate who doesn't produce art often enough to warrant finer materials. :)
