Date: 2008-01-03 06:07 pm (UTC)In my version he grew up surrounded by people who had such talent in music that he rarely felt he was good enough (as he didn’t learn to play any instrument). And this kind of music, introduced to him and the other Marauders by Lily (as he didn’t have a Muggle or a Muggleborn as a parent), made him start to sing more. And now your art has revealed to me that these songs also made him love his own singing too much. It didn’t sound exactly terrible (as he wouldn’t do this soon after full moon). But (thanks to my husband, who believes he could have been a professional singer) I can understand how Sirius feels when Remus, secure in the thought that Sirius loves him (as a friend at least) and his singing, wants to share this pleasure, sings on and on and with his arm stops Sirius from escaping.
I love the contrast between the two boys’ expressions (the facial ones and the whole poses). They stand out wonderfully perhaps also due to the scarceness of detail in clothing and background. Thank you for another unusual, amazing and inspiring R/S image.
