Announcing the 2013-2014 bonus round

Didn't get to sign up back in October? Inspired by something you saw here? Still itching to create something?

Every year at the end of the fest, we have a quick "bonus round" in the first few days of January. This is a celebratory free-for-all:

* You can nab any of the prompts from the year's sign up post, remix something you enjoyed here (touch base with the original author or artist to ask permission!), or create something of your own.

* Gifts can be any length, drabble on up, and offered to an individual or to the community.

* You don't need to be a participant in this year's fest to join in the bonus round!

The only rule is you need to submit your gifts to the queue (posting instructions over here) before midnight December 31, 2013, ET (world times over here).

Note: this is a no-obligation activity activity for everyone involved! Unlike the regular round, the bonus round is NOT an exchange (leaving a prompt doesn't guarantee another gift). And if you're in the mood to participate, you don't need to commit to creating anything, either. But wouldn't it be fun to have more gifts to carry us into the new year?

Is anyone doing a gift for torino10154?

I was too late to sign up and have been stupidly busy this last month, but no one claimed any of those prompts and I have yet to see a gift appear for torino10154 to date.

If there isn't one already in the works I will grab one of those prompts and see if I can come up with something (and find a last minute beta) before the end of the fest for the bonus round.

Yes, yes, she's got a gift coming! (We've still got a couple regular-round gifts to post before the end of the month.) But I'm quite positive sure she'd appreciate another. And we'd love to see a gift from you!

Giad to hear she has a gift. I am hesitant to do mine without seeing what she has already got as I don't want to duplicate. What I'll do is get it written and wait until the other gift is posted to ensure it isn't using the same prompt. If it isn't I'll be begging for a last minute beta from the lounge.
