Argh! That last question totally slays me. (Why, self?) I definitely began with Remus, whose sneaky humor in PoA was just charming, and whose unacknowledged (throughout PoA) connection to Harry puzzled me--why not say something about your past to the son of your childhood friend? But Sirius has grown on me over the years, to the point where I can't say which I enjoy more.
Also, sorry, folks--didn't realize the text entry boxes would allow so little text! M.
Also, sorry, folks--didn't realize the text entry boxes would allow so little text! M. Lol. At least I wasn't the only one... >.<
Argh yes, why? I had written whole paragraphs in both boxes before I realised that only the first few words fit in. Well, I suppose that's what I get for looking at the keyboard and not the screen while typing.
Also, I'm going to be bold and give you a very presumptuous and unasked for high five for treating Remus like the fandom bicycle he so clearly is.
Sorry! I think it was the new poll-creation tool (new to me, at least). I didn't catch that I needed to extend the parameters. But that's what comments are for, right?
I don't know about you, but I'm really fascinated by the way that Remus can blend into different situations and be different things to different people. (That scene in the classroom with Neville really left an impression with me--such humor and subversiveness and mild-mannered-ness, all at the same time.) Sirius I have a hard time seeing in different situations with different people (both in the sense that he might have a harder time being with different people, and I'm not so flexible with him, as a reader and author). M.
Hmm, I obviously wasn't the only one who found yesterday's question too hard to answer.
Oh, I love polls! ♥ Very interesting answers so far. I thought Hogwarts Era would win by a landslide, followed by POA and OotP. Seeing Post-Hogwarts, pre-1981in the lead is surprising. And I didn't expect so many R/S purists who only ship them with each other. But it's so sweet to see the 50/50 vote on the last question. :)
I thought Hogwarts would be the leader in eras, too! I should keep an eye on the gifts as they come in, to see if the gifts reflect our poll preferences.
I love polls, too! So much fun to see what other people are thinking... M.
sorry, i guess i messed up the 50/50 at the end there :-P
but if there was an option 'i can't choose' i would have chosen it, i only picked sirius because he has been more on my mind lately, but i love them equally - which was a first for me in my life, because i always have a favourite.
also... hello there to all! hope i am not intruding, i'm here only to read the stories and enjoy the art, i'm not sure i was supposed to participate on the poll, but i did it anyway, cause i was very curious to see the results :-)
i saw so many names of artists and writers that i love, i can't wait to see the gifts!!

:) I know that feeling.
Of *course* you're welcome here! Thanks for dropping by! M.
I've not signed up to any of my usual Christmas challenges or exchanges for any fandoms this year because I can't commit the time for various RL reasons. But I am massively looking forward to reading it all anyway! (And I can never resist a poll)
