I have grown to like Dumbledore much more since his death, and had he just been a bit more hands on in conveying his love vs evil idea earlier, maybe things would have turned out better; that or I'm being a sap. My Remus is always trying, but not always succeeding at being brave. He does tend to assume the worst, understandable given his lot in life.
I think Sirius from the books had never really lived a normal adult life, with the war coming so soon after school. Being forced to live quietly in hiding for a year had to have changed his outlook somewhat. Glad you liked it!
