The banter was wonderful, and I'm so happy you included all the Marauders and Lily. James and Lily's interactions were especially sweet, and I loved the little ways you showed how Sirius and Remus interact with and understand each other -- and provide comfort to each other.
You also manage to pack in so many emotions into such a short, deceptively simple fic. I was grinning happily and then, ouch:
In Remus’ cup, one single damp leaf lay curled, alone, near the bottom of the cup. The entire rest of the cup’s contents were clumped together on the other side of the cup, leaving that one leaf entirely separate.
“That can’t be right,” James said. “How can you interpret that?”
“It means loneliness,” Sirius said, though he didn’t want to. “Loss. Being left behind.”
This hurt! And then you did this:
"If you’re ever left alone, Remus, I’ll find my way back to you.”
And I was even more hurt, but also somehow healed?? </3 <3! I love them. I love this. Thank you again for writing it!! This was the perfect mix of fluffy and funny and ominous that I want and love in Hogwarts-era fics. <333
