Dear PaulaMcG, thank you so much for this lovely story! I really enjoyed all the elements of winter you wove into it (especially the seasonal fruit!) - and your take on the idea of 'coming in from the cold', both in terms of the actual temperature and also in terms of what's going on between them. And their version of the Twelve Days of Christmas is such a sweet idea! You've really conveyed that feeling of delighting in small joys when the weather is bleak but you've got time off and you're celebrating with friends, and transforming something cheap and everyday into something magical... exactly the feeling I was hoping for! Hope your holidays will be magical, too.
