Welcome, folks! Every year at small gifts, we start off the holiday season with a week's worth of discussion posts. It's a chance to get to know other participants (or say hi again), meet our readers (hi, readers! we love you!), and while away the hours before December 1. We'll have one topic per day until November 30. Come on over and introduce yourself on our Day 1 post!

Day 3: Head canon

What are your favorite bits of head canon related to Remus and Sirius? Tell us in the comments below!

Title: Of Owls and Corks
Author/Artist: Chasingbluefish
Recipient: Ocelotting
Rating: Mature
Contents or warnings (view under highlight):  Fluff, a curse or two, orgasms in the kitchen
Wordcount:3853
Summary: In which Sirius struggles to choose a gift and Remus brings home a stow away.
Notes: I wanted to fit in all three wishes which were: Post-Azkaban AU, Sirius and Molly arguing over what to get Remus, a surprise owl. I hope I hit them all satisfactorily. Also, I have no idea where all of this damn fluff came from. Not usually where I go. I blame Tpants. Whom I love dearly. Happy Holidays Ocelotting and I hope you enjoy xoxo

Title: stir the flame anew

Author/Artist: [personal profile] blanketed_in_stars

Recipient: [personal profile] human_veil

Rating: PG-13 for language

Contents or warnings (highlight to view): *none*

Word count: 5,168 (sorry)

Summary: Two winters after the war, Remus receives an owl, and, shortly thereafter, an unexpected houseguest.

It’s a light tawny who sits patiently while he reads. Moony—send something back if it’s a bad time. Otherwise I’ll be there at noon. Cheers, Padfoot. There’s nothing more, as if it were the last note in a conversation they’d already been having, but Remus can’t recall anything of the sort. He’d remember if they’d talked about this. He’d remember, he thinks, watching the owl drink the water which he absentmindedly offers her, if they’d talked at all.

Notes: Thank you so much to my lovely beta Audrey who read this at the very last minute and, as usual, offered sage advice and encouragement without which I would certainly be flailing around in despair. This was written to the prompt "re-learning each other" and I hope I've done it justice! And the title comes from the poem "New Year's Eve" by Elfrida De Renne Barrow.
