Anyone still thinking about signing up for rs_small_gifts? You have approximately 24 hours left! Sign-ups last until 10:59 a.m. US Eastern time (approximate world times here) and claiming begins at 11:00 a.m. US Eastern time (world times here), on Saturday, October 20th.

For newcomers: Small Gifts is a bit unusual in that participants match themselves in real time--starting tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. US Eastern time, you can drop by the comm, find the prompt you want, and claim it if no one else has already. Someone there before you? Try your second choice. There are a lot of great prompts this year.

PLEASE NOTE:

* If you can't be online at the right time (or during the first 48 hours at all--see below), feel free to ask a friend to claim for you. (Just be clear who's claiming for whom!) And if you don't know anyone else participating, we can help--just leave a comment to this post.

* Please claim within 48 hours! It's nerve-wracking for folks to wait and see who claims them, so let's finish up by Monday morning, at the same time. We'll be in touch with you if you aren't matched up by then.
