No worries about the lateness at all. As you can tell from my own delayed response to your comment, I am equally slow at things these days. My only excuse is that I have been swamped with other writing stuff in recent months and have barely had time to even check into LJ, let alone respond. Sorry for my own delay in responding.
I am just glad you liked the story. I always worry about whether the recipient of the gift likes what I have written or not. Thankfully most years they have. :-)
