OH BOY. FAVE OLD FICS. Okay, so I went through my FictionAlley bookmarks (which are the really old ones of mine, dear Merlin) and we have

• Anything by Marauder (http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/marauder), but ESPECIALLY, AS IN THIS MIGHT BE MY FAVORITE R/S FIC EVER who am I kidding I can't pick favorites People Sirius Loves (http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/marauder/PSL01a.html)


• Mapmakers (http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/casira/mapmakers01.html) by casira (http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/casira) is also great. I don't remember their other work well enough to comment on it.


• Mieko Belle (http://fanlore.org/wiki/Mieko_Belle) has regrettably taken down all her HP fic but if you happen to find any floating around communities or anything, I really enjoyed it.


• pru (http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/pru) is also pretty cool, and I had specifically named Seven Things That Never Happened at Hogwarts on Valentine's Day... (http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/pru/STTNHAHOVD01a.html) in my bookmarks


• Taking Advice (http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/rin/TA.html) and pretty much anything else out there by rin (http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/rin)

I also looked through ff.net bookmarks but the only thing that popped out at me there as an old stand-by is Flower Shop (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/3106569/1/Flower-Shop) by cinderella200, which is right up there with People Sirius Loves in terms of pressing my outsider-pov-narration buttons.

Then some more recent things:

• adistantsun wrote Elegy of the Spheres for the rs_games 2012, which ought to be found here (DW) (http://rs-games.dreamwidth.org/109304.html) or here (AO3) (http://archiveofourown.org/works/566483), but both of the links are acting up for me at present. Boo :(


• The same fest/year, so_jayded wrote Latte Art (http://rs-games.dreamwidth.org/107580.html), which is the coffeeshop AU to end all coffeeshop AUs forever and always (imho), and adistantsun actually did a phenomenal podfic of it, which you can find if you friend her on LJ.

Also people have already mentioned Long Live Living and the Stealing Harry 'verse, which are fantastic to the extreme. OH and there is also imochan's old R/S love post (http://imochan.livejournal.com/297961.html) which in a similar vein to this post and might have some fun things. i have never actually made it all the way through it because it is ginormous and a half.

Whew, okay, that was a lot of recs. And I get really excited about a lot of things. For instance right now I'm going to go get excited about bed. ♥
