Oh my gosh, thank you thank you thank you!!! (and sorry for being late commenting - Christmas is hectic!) This is fantastic!!! I can't pick out my favourite bit because the whole of this is like a loaf of glorious bread - the crust is fantastic, and then there is the soothing interior and the mouthfeel of it is grand and you want the loaf to never end.

"You're quite right," Remus said cheerfully, gesturing around him as he said, "I run the shop." That made me snicker for a long time. I can just picture Remus pointing out the blindingly obvious logical fallacy and the Aurors with their perplexed faces.
The image of Remus kneading dough, with Sirius hugging him from behind, is just lovely. So cosy and comforting, and then the ending, with sticky buns.
Ugh, and the hints of politics as well, with Lily as an activist, and Susan!
