It's a chance to get to know other participants (or say hi again), meet our readers (hi, readers! we love you!), and while away the hours before December 1. We'll have one topic per day until November 30.

Hey everyone!

I'm Linsey (maraudersaffair on LJ/DW/AO3/Tumblr). My main tumblr is atomic-space-babe but I also post as maraudersaffair for fandom stuff.

I've been writing as maraudersaffair since . . . 2005? I wasn't involved in the HP fandom for years, but this fall I got back into participating in all the fic fests and it's been so much fun! :D

It's hard to say how long I've shipped R/S. I participated in this fest (I think) in 08, 09, 10. But if I'm being really honest R/S has never been like my *favorite* ship. I think my fav will always be Snupin, but I've written a ton of Drarry in the last couple of months.

Anybody thinking about participating in wolfstarbigbang? I really want to write an epic fic where Remus is torn between Sirius and Severus, but ultimately ends up with Sirius.

I like the idea of participating in Big Bang, but it would take me years to get that many words out! I have a lot of respect for anyone who can do 30K, that’s for sure :)

I am planning to do the Big Bang! I'm thinking about writing a fairy tale/fantasy AU in a magic forest.

My ideas are all really vague and sketchy at the moment, but Remus is still a werewolf and a wizard, who finds Sirius, who is a genie, and is also the last remaining guardian of a magical forest. The history of the forest comes out gradually and it's kind of a retelling of canon eg when Remus hears about Lily and James from someone else Sirius says, 'I as good as killed them.' I'm also planning lots of nature symbolism and stuff about four elements/seasons etc.

I've never written anything like it, so it might all go horribly wrong but it'll be an experience! :D

Okay, that's sort of fabulous. I've actually got a fairy tale AU sitting in my *to be worked on* folder right now... it's a great way to go. If you do write it I'm soooo up for reading it. :)

Hi! Welcome back!!! It is great to see you again! It almost feels like fandom is having a little bit of a renaissance, or maybe that’s just me. I love trying on new pairings and getting to know new characters. I think so many people do have an OTP that pulls them back, but I love that so many people are open to lots of pairings. I haven’t decided about the Big Bang yet, but am thinking about it. I haven’t written something that long for a while... You should do it!

I'm very tentatively considering wolfstarbigbang. I am... slow. And very hesitant about being able to get out 30k. I've done close, so it's not impossible... but as I'm still working on my fic for this fest (I really should be writing not chatting with you lovely people) I'm not sure of my getting through it. I kind of want to, though.
