Countdown to Small Gifts 4/7: Sites

Less of a discussion question and more of an information-gathering poll today, folks:

Where do you find R/S fic, art, meta, podfic, etc.? What sites on LJ? On DW? Do you read at archives (and which ones)? Have R/S made it to tumblr yet? Do you post or archive your own work anywhere special?

Your mods are curious in part because we keep hearing how fandom is migrating, and we'd love to post links to this year's gifts where folks will find them. Help us out?

Check out previous Countdown posts:

R/S have indeed made it to tumblr! In a small way, if you follow the right people. And/or track the Wolfstar tag. Also last year in December they started a Shoebox Reread Project where everyone reads one chapter a day until, well I guess, the 23. I didn't participate, but hopefully I will this year?

I watch [livejournal.com profile] accio_rs_fics here, and the [livejournal.com profile] rs_games. Many of my old favorites are/were at FictionAlley, though that site is quite slow anymore. When I actively seek out new fic, I usually hit ff.net and hope there's some decent new things, and I'm moving slowly toward AO3, having been introduced to it recently.

I too find fic on [livejournal.com profile] accio_rs_fics a lot. Either by searching the tags or seeing a fic someone is looking for that catches my fancy.

Otherwise, I'm mostly on [livejournal.com profile] remusxsirius and fanfiction.net but most anything worth reading on fanfiction.net is x-posted to LJ anyway so...

Wolfstar tag, okay!

Wow, SBP is now a classic itself, isn't it? :) M.

Haha, yeah, it really is.

If you want to x-post this stuff on tumblr, I would suggest making a separate blog for it (rs-small-gifts.tumblr.com or something) and tagging every post with Wolfstar, at least. Then they would all be in one spot, and they would all show up in the tag where people go to look for stuff. (I have no idea if you're on tumblr already or know what I'm talking about ^_^;;)

I have yet to figure tumblr out, but guess I will have to now : ) Any suggestions other than tracking the Wolfstar tag? Thanks for the info!

For tumblr, you might also check out the Wolfstar-specific blogs, such as: hms-wolfstar (http://hms-wolfstar.tumblr.com) [self-pimp], ofwerewolvesandmen (http://ofwerewolvesandmen.tumblr.com) [run by dama], everythings-wolfstar (http://everythings-wolfstar.tumblr.com), and a few others I can't remember right now. We often post in the Wolfstar tag and dama is especially good at fic recs.

Whoops, looks like that's already covered! Definitely good reasons to get involved in tumblr now, yes? ;]

Depends what other sorts of stuff you like. And if there are people you see post in the Wolfstar tag frequently, follow their blogs. If you have other fandoms you're in, I can try to point you in the direction of good blogs from those fandoms, if I know any. Happy tumbling :)

Okay, I signed up to follow the 3 you mentioned--can't wait to explore further!

I'm like you, I can't seem to make heads or tails of tumblr but EVERYONE talks about it it seems like. I'm young, this shouldn't be so daunting...maybe over the weekend...
