I cannot imagine how awful Azkaban would be, but I imagine Sirius suffering from what we would call PTSD. The rest of the world, the social things, the subtleties of complex family interactions, would be baffling to someone who has spent so much time alone. And, whilst the Weasleys are wonderful, they are, very much, a world unto themselves. All big families are. In fact, I see them as being very outward (or extroverted) in their thinking. That's not a bad thing, just different from the small, intimate world of Sirius and Remus.
