I totally know what you are talking about here. This same thing happened to me as a kid with several pairings (het and slash) that I later began shipping, once I understood what it all meant.

LOL, WOOOO! Though it feels a little like a break in tradition :P

It's either really distressing or realy reassuring because it definitely means I've been into gay sex my whole life and not just as a recent development :P
