Art: Ink Stains for Wook77

Title: Ink Stains (yeah, I know I fail at titles. But it's not nice to pick on the drooling kid with paste in her hair, so leave me be about it)
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] jadis31
Drawn for: [livejournal.com profile] wook77
Rating: PG-13/maybe R
Notes: This is art for [livejournal.com profile] wook77's wonderful fic Life Through Inkstains. Go and read it. It really is beautiful.

Wook, I wasn't sure if that was how you wanted the tattoo placement. If it's not, let me know. I intentionally left them on their own layers so I could still move them around. So, if they're not right, just tell me where they go and I will make them right ;) <3

It’s taken me quite a while to manage to comment on this one. I don’t like tattoos in general, and in my version Sirius didn’t have them. And in general I don’t like pictures showing parts of bodies for sexy effects. For some reason it didn’t help that you’d actually hidden what’s usually shown in porn to arouse outsiders. But I couldn’t resist taking another look, as I like your style (of lines), and I started liking the hands better and better: they are so real. And finally I realised why I both had to admire and didn’t want to look at the picture. Unlike most fanart, which we have to look at as outsiders, this achieves the equivalent of Remus-pov narrative – and I want to imagine it’s in the first person and present tense, too. Just too close to what I – obviously unlike most fans – want to escape when entering his fictional life, so that this scares me. Yes, excellent.
