first of all... wow! i had no words when i first read this, and i had to go back and read it again before i could write a coherent comment!

this has everything i love about post-azkaban sirius; how aware he is of everything he's lost --from his good looks to the ability to be happy and in this case remus, of course-- and it breaks my heart in the sweetest of ways! the way you build his state of mind when he thinks about the other characters, like tonks (he doesn't say a single bad word about her, but he is so jealous it huuuurts!), or even snape (who he's still suspicious of!).oh, and i also love how opaque remus is to the narrator, but not to sirius, if that makes any sense? it's like he can read remus' words expressions better than the narrator themself.

and the sex!!! with feelings!!!
there's this sense of urgency, and having remus want sirius so much he's afraid he's going to physically hurt him is so right for these two, especially in this setting. this was hot and angsty in a perfect balance!

and finally aaahhhh harry showing up the next day to spend christmas with them! bringing them presents! and the hopeful note it ends in! it's just amazing!
