Yes, it's sad but I'm still glad they can connect at this point. I especially liked how they mention the Bones' family and this bit:

But apparently it was because the last time they were together, months before, they hadn't done any girly stuff, like talking.
I like that they do "girly stuff," and I can imagine them both referring to it like that. *smiles*
