This is so beautiful! Agh, loved all of it, the way you record the small details, the overall mood, and the way you make us experience Remus wrestling with himself... And the burden of the past still weighing heavily on both of them – no matter that they've "won the war" and everything should be hunky dory now – it's a heart wrenching thing that you explore so skilfully. Even though this is wolfstar, i.e. we all know what's likely to happen, Remus' turning point – "It's all I want" – came as a bit of a (wonderful) surprise. I'm all about a good theylive!fic, and this felt so realistic, just superb.

By the way, the plot is spookily similar to my own piece for Small Gifts (though set in a different era), but you've done it so brilliantly mine feels more like an afterthought haha...
