Wow. This touched on so many different complex issues in such a short span of words. It's such a nice, realistic change that they didn't just fall back together. Twelve years is a long time, and they really wouldn't know each other anymore. I loved how Remus didn't really start working through his emotions over it all until they were already in bed, and how Sirius was doing the same, although completely differently. I wanted to hug them both. Or maybe make them hug each other. Or maybe TALK about it.
But I think my favorite part is Remus' response of "Of course" when Sirius asked for another chance. Like, there are so many issues still to hash out, and they don't really know each other anymore, and yet there really wasn't any other choice of answer. That was perfect.
This was a lovely, bittersweet story. Wonderful job.
