Thank you thank you, this is the sweetest. The virtually silent deep understanding Remus has of Sirius is exactly what their relationship is about; they get each other. So much love and caring in this story, and the image of them sharing fag ends is so embedded into my consciousness.
Btw wheel for a foot is so much better than a hook. If you get a zimmer frame, then you can stand on one leg and fly down streets!!
