THANK YOU!!!

That was hilarious, my dear - great job! Honestly, there is a part of me that loathes gift exchanges (RL, not fandom ones) for this very reason. How do you deal with those really awkward gifts? Well, I have to say that most everyone dealt with them well.

Oh, it was great fun trying to figure out which gift was intended for whom. Some, like the socks, were pretty obvious, but others not so much. Moody's cologne going to Minerva was hilarious as was poor Snape with the Hair Care 101. He handled it well, though, all things considered. The irony of Dumbledore getting a picture of two naked gay men was excellent, too. But Molly's vibrating wand was the best (and perhaps what she really needed, but we won't go there.) Dumbledore raised an eyebrow as everyone turned their attention to the foot of the table. “What's going on, Sirius?” Molly asked, jumping as the vibrating wand let out a particularly loud buzz. I love the image of her simpering and cannot help but think that she needed the laugh here.

And, of course, it would be Sirius. “Well, when Dumbledore came in, the wind outside … rearranged all the gift tags. I just decided to roll with it,” Sirius exclaimed. “You lot should have seen your faces!” That's a VERY Sirius reaction to the situation.

And the ending was perfect. (And considering how wizarding photographs move, Merlin only knows what that picture would show.)

Again, thank you so much. This was wicked fun and a perfect Christmas gift!

PS. I also have to say that the title is brilliant. Despite the fact that the song is now playing on constant repeat in my head, it really fits on all levels. Not only is Mame one of the most stereotypically gay things on the planet, but the song itself totally fits Sirius. Most people think of it as all happy and silly, but it's really a bit forced and sad, isn't it?
